BoxingScene.com spoke to IBF/WBC junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander "The Great" about recent comments made by WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.  Team Alexander and Bradley have been going back and forth for months on BoxingScene and a story I ran earlier today can be found here and a response to the story from Tim Bradley, written by Rick Reeno can be found here.

Alexander's manager Kevin Cunningham has been very outspoken in his criticism of Bradley and his desire to fight for money and for not trying to fight the best opponents.  Cunningham has done most of the talking for Team Alexander.

In Reeno's article, Bradley said that Alexander had his chance to call him out after Alexander knocked out former WBC junior welterweight champion Juan Urango and that Alexander chose not to.

Alexander responded by saying, "I get together with my team and we decide who we are going to fight next.  It is a team decision.  That being said, I have no problem fighting Tim Bradley next.  As a matter of fact this guy says he will come to my backyard and beat me.  He says he has won belts in the UK and in Canada.  He seems to be the one really running his mouth."

With excitement in his voice Alexander said, "Well Tim Bradley here is your opportunity.  You talk a good game but talk is cheap.  If you want to talk the talk then you have to walk the walk.  You said you will come to the 'Lou and beat me.'  Well then after our next fights lets have a showdown right here in the late fall.  I will pack the arena and you can see what it is like to fight in front of a big crowd.  You said Kevin will be eating his words?  You aren't going to make anybody eat their words after I beat your ass and snatch your belt."
