Young southpaw Devon Alexander of Saint Louis, Missouri controlled every round of the fight and finally earned a TKO win at 19 seconds mark of round 4 over Korean Sun-Haeng Lee.
Referee Florentino Ramirez interfered to stop the contest despite nobody going down. The stoppage happened after Alexander landed a 1-2 combination at 19 seconds mark of the 4th of scheduled 10-round light welterweight fight.
The 5-foot-7 American improved his unblemished record to 16 wins with nine victories inside the distance. Lee, whose upper lip was swollen, took his third straight loses and dropped to 9-4, 4 KOs.
Alexander, the WBC Americas champion and No. 1 contender, aims to get a shot against WBC light welterweight king Timothy Bradley next year.
