MGM Grand, Las Vegas - WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) boxed his way to a twelve round unanimous decision over former champion Joseph Diaz (32-2-1, 15 KOs).
The scores were 117-111, 117-111, 116-112 for Haney.
Haney had to go through some tough moments during certain points in the contest, but he was able to land a lot of accurate punches and shots to the body throughout the fight. Diaz was gutsy and hung in there round after round. He was unable to land too many damaging punches to change the tempo of the fight.
