Heavyweight destroyer Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32KOs) has stopped every single opponent on his record within four rounds.
He takes a big step up in class on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, when he challenges WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21KOs), who is also regarded as a dangerous puncher.
There are many question marks hovering above Wilder. One of those questions is whether or not the hard puncher has the stamina to win a fight beyond the fourth round.
That question will not be answered on Saturday, says Wilder. He plans to close the show within four and has no expectation of the fight going beyond that number.
"This fight is definitely not going past four rounds. Either way it goes, I can't see this fight going past four rounds. Somebody is going to get knocked out. That's why this is the most entertaining, most intriguing, exciting fight. You have an extremely hard puncher and you have a hard puncher. They both have bad blood with each other, both want to rip each other up and that's what makes it intriguing," Wilder said.
"I definitely see the fight going [to end] with a knockout, with me with my hand raised high and bringing the belt back to America. And I have the belt around my waist and they are saying 'the new heavyweight champ of the world.'"
