At the Sport-Und Kongresshall in Schwerin, Germany, Denis Lebedev (21-0, 16 KOs) put himself in line for a title shot with a two round knockout of Alexander Alekseev (19-2, 17 KOs). Lebedev is now the mandatory challenger to WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck, who defends his title next month against Matt Godfrey.
On the undercard, super featherweight prospect Marcel Meyerdiercks (17-0, 5 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Hermin Isava (9-6, 5 KOs). The scores were 80-71, 79-71, 80-72. Also in action, Eddy Gutknecht (19-1, 8 KOs) stopped Michal Bilak (19-14, 10 KOs) after two rounds of action in a light heavyweight contest.
