According to sources in Poland and Russia, WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (26-2) is going to defend his world crown against Polish contender Lukasz Janik (28-2) on April 4th in Moscow, Russia. Janik has won two fights in a row since losing a twelve round majority decision to Ola Afolabi in November of 2013.
Lebedev, who owes a mandatory defense to Youri Kalenga, is working hard with Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, California.
