LAS VEGAS - Demond Brock put on a show Friday night. He did so even when the fight was close and in the balance.

Brock won a 10 round split decision over Reynaldo Blanco at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

With the win, Brock improves to 13-3-1 1 NC, 4 KOs.

Blanco had his moments early on in the fight, but Brock landed the more-telling blows during the middle rounds.

Sensing he was down in the fight, Blanco pressed the action, but Brock was able to mix in his attack, put landing the taller Blanco.

One judge scored the fight 97-93 for Blanco while the other two judges scored the bout 96-94 in favor of Brock.

Junior middleweight Norberto Gonzalez scored a minor upset in the co-feature bout, winning an eight round split decision over Daniel Rosario Cruz. Gonzalez (23-8, 13 KOs) was dropped by a barrage of punches in round two. Gonzalez pressed the action during the second half of the fight while Cruz (11-2, 10 KOs) looked to load up on one punch. One judge scored the bout 77-74 in favor of Cruz, while the other two judges scored the bout 76-75 for Gonzalez.
