Rising prospect Deion Pruitt (4-0 4 KOs) kept his perfect record intact on Saturday, September 25th, when he stopped Patrick Pierre (3-19) at the Champion Boxing Gym in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Pruitt picked up another TKO, this one 1:20 into the second round of a bout scheduled for four rounds. He used a right-hand jab, right hook, left hook combination that sent Pierre staggering into the ropes. Pruitt poured it on, throwing an array of jabs, uppercuts, and hooks into his opponent to earn the stoppage.

With the victory, the US Virgin Islands’ Pruitt hopes to move onto tougher competition so that he can demonstrate more of the skills that he possesses.

“This last fight was more of a challenge. Some of the punches that I threw would have had some of my other opponents backing down a bit, but he was ready for the fight,” said Pruitt.

“I’m hoping to get back soon and go for another win. I’m thankful I’ve been victorious so far and I want to keep that going.”

Pruitt’s management team includes light heavyweight contender Julius “The Chef” Jackson. The plan is to get Pruitt back in the ring in the very near future.

“I believe I am ready to move up and keep climbing in the rankings, hopefully move to 6 rounds. I am going to talk it over with my team,” Pruitt stated.

In the main event of the evening, Sean Charleston stopped Anthony Curtiss in the first round of their scheduled six round bout.
