London - European champion James DeGale MBE will defend his super-middleweight title against Hadillah Mohoumadi of France at Glow, Bluewater, Kent on October 13.
DeGale, an Olympic gold medallist in 2008, signed a long-term promotional deal with Mick Hennessy in September and will have his first fight under Hennessy Sports live on Channel 5 from 10pm, and in America it will be shown on Wealth TV.
32 year old Mohoumadi, claimed the vacant French super-middleweight strap in June by beating Hugo Kasperski on points.
James DeGale said “Hadillah Mohoumadi is ranked in the top 15 of the European ratings. He has mixed with some world class fighters and has never been stopped, so it will be a good test for my first fight back."

Promoter Mick Hennessy said "Mohoumadi is a big, strong, in shape super-middleweight who is very aggressive and comes to fight, this promises to be an explosive fight and one not to be missed.
"James is going to have to be smart and use his god given talent to impress in this fight."
Supporting James DeGale MBE will be middleweight sensation Chris Eubank Jnr in his 7th pro fight and current WBC Intl. Super Bantamweight champion Kid Galahad form Sheffield.
The evening will also see former British champion Lenny Daws challenge the number one Finnish fighter, Ville Piispanen, for the vacant EU LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT TITLE.
The undercard will also feature Tyson’s cousin Phill Fury, Brixton’s Dillian Whyte, Jordon Gill from Chatteris, Arfan Iqbal from Derby, Leo D’erlanger from Oxford and local fighter Adam Dingsdale from Hoo in Kent.
