James DeGale has finally finished sparring ahead of his British and Commonwealth super-middleweight title clash with George Groves.

The north Londoner has completed dozens of rounds, including some with WBO light-heavyweight title challenger Nathan Cleverly.

But now all he has to do is concentrate on his fight at the 02 Arena on May 21.

"It's been a tough camp, definitely the toughest of my career," said unbeaten DeGale.

"Some of the sparring has been unbelievable, real red hot stuff.

"But now I am ready for Groves. The fight itself will be the easy bit.

"I'm just looking forward to kicking back now for seven days and ticking over.

'My weight is great, I'm in fantastic shape, bring on May 21 because that is when all the hard work will pay off."
