Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale (21-1, 14KOs) is now looking for the biggest fights possible, after capturing the vacant IBF super middleweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Andre Dirrell on Saturday night in Boston.

The belt became vacant when DeGale was made the mandatory challenger to his countryman, Carl Froch. When the IBF pressed Froch to make the mandatory defense, he expressed his disinterest in the fight and vacated his belt.

DeGale's promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, also tried to get him a rematch with rival George Groves. They faced each other in 2011, with Groves winning a very close twelve round majority decision.

"Froch is a p*ssy, he don't want to fight me. Not a chance in hell is that man gonna fight me. Froch is a p*ssy, he is not gonna fight me. Groves is a p*ssy but I'll fight him after [the Jack fight]. George Groves is a pussy. He got offered to fight me a couple of months ago and he didn't want it," DeGale stated.
