Canadian welterweight contender Antonin Decarie (27-1, 8KOs) had a very impressive victory on Saturday night. He made his HBO televised debut and stopped previously undefeated Alex Perez in the sixth round. He wants to make his HBO return in the near future. One fighter he would love to face is WBC interim-champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (30-1-1, 18KOs).
"The welterweight division is a stacked division, so fighting anybody would be an honor. I just won the NABF title. I already own the WBC international [title], so my ranking at the WBC should be great. Robert Guerrero has a title in that [organization], so that would be great," Decarie said to BoxingScene.com.
Decarie's co-promoter, Lou DiBella, would love to make that fight.
"I think there are a lot of possibilities, but I would love to [make a fight] with Robert Guerrero. He would love to fight Robert Guerrero. Guerrero-Decarie, that's the fight I would love to see," DiBella said.
