At the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, welterweight Antonin Decarie (25-1, 7KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Shamone Alvarez (21-4, 12KOs). Alvarez started strong but faded as the fight went on. Alvarez was dropped by a hard right hand in the fifth round and once again at the end of the eight. The right hands and the body shots were the key weapons of Decarie. The scores were 97-91, 99-89 and 98-90.
A welterweight contest saw JoJo Dan (28-1, 15KOs) win a unanimous six round technical decision over former champion Steve Forbes (35-9, 11KOs). The score was 58-56 on all three cards. There was a clash of heads in the sixth round that opened up a bad cut above the left eye of Forbes. The doctor took a look and stopped the fight. Based on the unified rules, the fight went to the scorecards.
Welterweight prospect Kevin Bizier (14-0, 10KOs) destroyed Edgar Ruiz (22-9) with a knockout at 1:24 of the first round of a scheduled eight.
Super featherweight prospect Tyler Asselstine (4-0, 3KOs) stopped Carlos Martinez (5-10) at 2:21 of the fourth and final round of their bout.
In a light heavyweight contest, Nicholson Poulard (16-3, 8KOs) won his third in a row, and the second knockout in a row, with a stoppage of Patrick Tessier (4-12) at 1:17 of the first round.
Heavyweight prospect Oscar Rivas (4-0, 1KOs) won a four round majoriy decision over David Whittom (11-14). The scores were 38-38 for the draw, and 40-36 and 39-37 for Rivas.
