At the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, journeyman Guadalupe De Leon (8-9, 4 KOs) pulled off a four round split decision win over previously undefeated Derrick Wilson (5-1-1, 2 KOs). The scores were were 39-37 and 39-37 De Leon, and 39-37 for Wilson.

Wilson started strong in the first round, using his quick hands to go after De Leon and tried to pull out a quick knockout win. De Leon was able to weather the storm and began to work his way into the fight. By the third round, Wilson seemed to be tired and breathing heavy as De Leon continued to press forward with a good jab and combinations. Wilson often kept both hands down and that allowed De Leon to land several scoring blows that impressed the judges.

Also on the undercard, junior welterweight prospect Danny Garcia (15-0, 10 KOs) stopped Enrique Colin (23-5-3, 19 KOs) in two rounds. Garcia caught Colin with a hard right to drop him at the end of the first round. Garcia went right back to work in the second and this time he landed a crushing left that put Colin down for good.
