The president of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, will not stop in his pursuit of a third meeting between Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao. There were already two exciting but controversial meetings between the two boxers. The first was fought to a twelve round draw in 2004. The 2008 rematch ended in a controversial twelve round split decision in favor of Pacquiao.

Marquez defends his WBA/WBO lightweight titles against Michael Katsidis next week in Las Vegas. If victorious, Marquez plans to move to the junior welterweight division to seek a fourth world title. De La Hoya is convinced that Marquez was robbed in the Pacquiao rematch.

"We will continue looking for that fight. It's Manny Pacquiao who avoids Juan Manuel. Of course, Marquez has to first beat Michael Katsidis on the 27th in Las Vegas, Nevada, to continue the pursuit of that fight. I am convinced that Marquez beat Pacquiao the second time they fought, but Juan Manuel was robbed," De La Hoya said.

Another fight that interests De La Hoya is a bout between Marquez and Erik Morales.
