Looks like the Golden Boy Promotions fight card on February 27 is beginning to take shape.

The co-main event will be an eight round bout between Diego De La Hoya and Manuel Roman, Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Robert Diaz told BoxingScene.com.

The bout will take place at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Deportes.

It will be the first scheduled eight round bout of De La Hoya's young pro career. De La Hoya is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and managed by Joel De La Hoya.

De La Hoya (8-0, 6 KOs) stopped Ali Gonzalez in the fifth round of his last fight on November 13 in Indio, California. De La Hoya resides in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.

In his last bout on September 13 in Las Vegas, Roman (17-3-3, 6 KOs) was stopped in the second round at the hands of Leo Santa Cruz. Roman is also best known for losing a close 10 round unanimous decision to Randy Caballero in August of 2012.

In the main event of the February 27 card, Caballaro will defend his IBF bantamweight title against Alberto Guevara.
