De La Hoya: Canelo-Lemieux Possible in The Future

Golden Boy Promotions recently announced that they struck a deal with Eye of the Tiger Management to co-promote highly feared middleweight puncher David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs). The boxer is going to return in the near future, on HBO, and one of his targets is a future showdown with WBA/IBO/WBC interim-middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs).
Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya, who promotes both of those fighters, says the fight is possible.
"A future fight with Canelo is possible. Canelo wants to fight the best. Lemieux wants to fight the best. For now we want to focus on 160-pounds weight class and on Cotto, Andy lee and Golovkin," De La Hoya said.
