Former light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KOs) is going to capitalize on the mistakes that were made by Jean Pascal in his recent decision loss to Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KOs). He doesn't feel Pascal used his youth against the 46-year-old veteran. Dawson, at age 28, plans to use speed, a very high workrate and the factor of being the younger fighter to defeat Hopkins on October 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
"I think the jab, speed, and people might say what they want, but I think it's the youth factor. Even though I'm stronger, faster, and quicker, I still think it's the youth factor. Pascal didn't use his youth in the fight. He sat around looking for one big punch. You have to outwork Bernard and Pascal didn't, but now I have that opportunity, and the opportunity to become world champion once again," Dawson told fighthype.com
