Retired heavyweight David Tua (52-4-2, 43KOs) says he is returning to professional boxing, the Samoa Observer reports. Tua, who retired in March, has not fought since last year's defeat to Monte Barrett.

Saying he wants to be back in the ring by March, he would not reveal who he might fight.

Tua said he had decided to retire earlier this year because of his care for his supporters.

"I didn't want to let them down knowing I had some outstanding issues to sort out. But I believe that is behind me now. I'm looking forward to fighting again and giving it one last try," he told the Observer.

"It's going to be a case of one fight at the time. I believe there is still a lot of fight left in me and I'm looking forward to getting back into it."
