Everything has been set for David Tua to face Friday “the 13th” Ahunanya in March showdown in New Zealand. Duco Events, who are putting the event together in New Zealand, informed BoxingScene.com that everything is set for the fight to take place.
Ahunanya was the first man to beat New Zealand heavyweight Shane Cameron, in 2007, with a twelfth round stoppage. Tua knocked out Cameron in two rounds a few months ago. Tua and Ahunanya sparred together back in 2001. Some bad blood spoiled over from that sparring session.
“I want to destroy Friday. I want it to be destructive. It has to be because I need people in the States to hear some noise from Down Under,” Tua said.
Ahunanya is confident of beating Tua in his backyard. He doesn't only predict victory, he predicts a big win by knockout.
“I’m coming to New Zealand to win. I’m going to knock David Tua out. And if I can’t do that I’ll win the fight on points. Anyone who understands how to box – understands the science of boxing – can beat David Tua. And I’ll prove it,” Ahunanya said.
