British heavyweight David Price (7-0, 5KOs) is not impressed with the skill set of Tyson Fury (11-0, 9KOs). They recently sparred together to prepare for theur bouts which took place on June 25. Fury was the main event of the show. He became exhausted in the middle rounds and came back to stop John McDermott in the ninth.

Price gave Fury some credit for showing some heart during the contest, but he wasn't impressed with his skills. He tought Fuy was in better shape when they sparred in the gym.

“I sparred John six weeks ago and he was in better shape than he was on the night. But credit to Tyson Fury, he had to dig deep in there for that win and he showed just how much he wanted it. I’ve never really been impressed with his skills and that opinion has certainly not changed but he did show a lot of heart because he was very tired in the middle of the fight," Price told Liverpool Echo.

“Winning that fight meant an awful lot to him, you could tell, and he really worked hard for it. So well done. But as I said, as far is skill is concerned, there is nothing there to worry me.”

Both Price and Tyson want domestic glory. If promoter Frank Maloney wants to make the fight, Price is all for it, but he would rather fight some heavyweights who are from the United States.

“I honestly don’t know what will happen with John now. But if Frank thinks that fight would be good for me then that’s the way we’ll go. But it’s not a fight I’m looking for necessarily. As I said, I’m expecting my next opponent to come from the other side of the Atlantic and I’m already looking forward to that,” Price said.
