While there is a lot of talk of a middleweight slugfest between former IBF titlist David Lemieux and the hard-hitting Curtis Stevens - there is no deal finalized, as of yet, for the two to meet in the fall.

But none of those details have been confirmed, according to Jolene Mizzone, matchmaker for Main Events, who promote Stevens.

The two fighters were both showcased during the month of May, as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard to Canelo Alvarez vs. Amir Khan from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Stevens (28-5, 21 KO) blew away previously undefeated Patrick Teixeira in two rounds, while Lemieux (35-3, 32 KOs) dominated and stopped Glen Tapia in four rounds.

"It's the same status as it was last week," explained Mizzone to BoxingScene.com. "I'm happy that Lemieux has finally agreed to face Curtis, but there's no date yet given from HBO for that fight. Curtis is willing to fight him but there's no talks of a deal. Not only is there's no talks of anything having to do with money but no talks of anything."

A Lemieux-Stevens would be one that would be a fan-friendly match-up and a fight that Main Events welcomes.

"Of course we all agree we want the fight but nothing has been discussed, where, when....they  mentioned about Canada. We have no problem, Curtis has no problem with it - that's not going to be a deal-breaker,''stated Mizzone on Monday afternoon.

"But if they come and say,'Look, it's going to be at 165-pounds' - that's going to be a problem. It's all agreed upon except there's no date or money discussed."
