Despite suffering the first defeat of his career on April 8th, by way of a seven round TKO at the hands of Marco Antonio Rubio, the current WBC International champion David Lemieux (25-1-0) continues to hold a good position in WBC rankings. For the month of May, Lemieux holds court in the number five spot. He previously held the number two position. The young boxer might possibly return to the ring on July 29th in Quebec City as part of a planned outdoors event. If the July fight falls through, an October date is also being discussed.
