At the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, David Lemieux (24-0, 23KOs) continued his reign on terror in the middleweight ranks with a crushing first round knockout of Hector Camacho Jr. (52-4, 28KOs). In what seemed to be start of a competitive fight, Lemieux landed a crushing right hand near the end of the first round to put Camacho to sleep.
Heavyweight Eric Martel (5-0, 3KOs) won a close six round decision over Stephane Tessier (3-26-1). A score of 58-56 was tallied on all three cards. Martel struggled in the contest and got rocked several times during course of the fight.
Super featherweight Tyler Asselstine (1-0) made his pro debut with a dominating four round decision over Francisco Tadeo (0-4). A score of 40-36 came down on all three cards.
