According to trainer/manager Adam Booth, David Haye will return to the gym to resume full training in two weeks time. Haye withdrew from June 20th bout with IBF/WBO champ Wladimir Klitschko after suffering a back injury in camp. Booth says a decision on Haye's future will be made in the next few days.
"We need to take the next couple of days to clear our heads and see where we go from there. We haven't spoken to anybody yet about what David's next step will be, but we hope to have something clearer in the next week or so," Booth told Southwark News.
Due to scheduling issues with the cable networks, Haye may not see action until the month of September. There is no word on how Setanta's financial issues will play a role in Haye's return. He signed a multi-fight contract with the network.
"We are going to have discussions soon and really it will be a case of taking it from there," Booth said.
