WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is heading to Germany on Sunday. He faces WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko on July 2 in Hamburg. Haye will likely receive an unwelcome chorus of boos from an estimated 40,000 German fight fans at the Imtech Arena next. Haye expects to have at least 10,000 British fans traveling over to show their support. The British boxer has no paranoia of facing Klitschko in Germany.
"He probably believes that having the fight in Germany's going to make a difference to him. It doesn't. There's going to be a huge, huge British contingent out there in Hamburg. Every hotel room is booked - and have been booked for a long, long time. They realise that I'm going to be unified Heavyweight champion of the world. I beat Jean-Marc Mormeck in Paris, I beat Valuev in Germany. I've traveled before and won. I've never traveled abroad and lost. But he believes he needs this football stadium with all these German fans in there. It's not going to help him," Haye told Sky Sports.
