David Haye is expected to return to the ring after over three years out.

The former world champion has teamed up with Shane McGuigan, who trains IBF super bantamweight champion Carl Frampton, and is ready to make a comeback.

Haye hasn't fought since he stopped Dereck Chisora at Upton Park in July, 2012, and then twice pulled out of dates to meet future world title challenger Tyson Fury due to injuries to his eye and shoulder, respectively.

But his return seems imminent after a video, tweeted by @TheLadBible emerged of him in training at McGuigan's gym in Battersea, London.

"Looking at all the British and world fighters, the one that stood out for me is Carl Frampton," said Haye in a promo for his return.

"His speed, timing and accuracy were things I didn't have in my arsenal and the guy behind that was Shane McGuigan, so he was the guy I sought out."

The news of the latest addition to the McGuigan camp comes just weeks aforementioned Belfast supremo Frampton signed a contract to fight Bury's Scott Quigg in a world title unification showdown next year.

And Shane, who is trusted by his father Barry to be the tutor of many of the Cyclone Promotions-led fighters, is excited about his latest acquisition.

He said: "David is a natural athlete. He has great balance, punches extremely hard and has great timing, so it'll be pretty easy to work with somebody as talented as that."

No date has yet been set for Haye's return, but news is expected in due course.
