British heavyweight Danny Williams has backed countryman David Haye to outbox the 7'2 WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev on November 7 in Germany. Williams has traded words with Haye in the past but he still feels the quicker and more fluid fighter should come out on top. He, like Lennox Lewis, is worried about Haye getting caught on the chin.

"I see David Haye outboxing Valuev," Williams said to Daily Record. "He's got great footwork, he's got that cruiserweight speed and he hits pretty hard as well. That combination makes for a David Haye victory, I think. The only thing we've got to worry about is David getting hit because he's never been hit by a 23 stone man. That could be a major problem. But I'm hoping David can outbox him and win on points."

Williams doesn't think the fight will be easy. He says Haye is in for a tough night. Williams doesn't see exactly how it's possible for Haye to properly train for a guy like Valuev. Winning a decision in Germany is also never easy.

"Even in sparring, I know he's been sparring with (former heavyweight professional) Danny Watts but he is only 6'6 or 6'7 in so this guy is way above that at 7ft 2in. So even in sparring, he's notgoing to get close to this guy. It's going to be very difficult for David, but I think he can do it. It's difficult to get a decision win in Germany but I don't think that should bother David. His mind should be set on just outboxing this guy and taking him to school," Williams said.
