WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has been searching for a country that wants to claim former two-time heavyweight champ John Ruiz. Haye defends his title against Ruiz on April 3 in Manchester. Ruiz is from Puerto Rico. Haye has approached Puerto Ricans and none of them want to claim Ruiz. They call Ruiz an American. Haye goes to Americans and they tell him Ruiz is Puerto Rican.

"He is from Puerto Rico, but I have never met a Puerto Rican who claims him as their own. They say 'No, he is American'. Speak to an American, and they say 'No, he is Puerto Rican' - said Haye to newsoftheworld

Haye continues to throw verbal damage at Ruiz. He says the veteran is too boring to trash talk and too boring in the ring. Haye promises to throw so many punches in the ring that Ruiz will have no choice but to perform like an exciting fighter. Haye says it won't be an easy job to make a Ruiz fight watchable.

"Ruiz is a dull guy and so boring even I won't be able to trash talk him. I haven't read any interviews where I care for him one way or another. I can't really say whether he is a mug or a nice guy who you can laugh with. He seems straight down the middle," Haye said.

"He has got no personality and that is reflective in his marketability. They call him the cure for insomnia, but I am going to have to change that. I like the public getting hyped up about the big fights and I am going to have to go beyond the call of duty to get Ruiz out of his shell."
