It's been reported in a few circles that WBA heavyweight champion David Haye provided Alexander Frenkel (22-0, 17KOs) with advice on how to beat Welshman Enzo Maccarinelli (33-4, 25KOs). The cruiserweight boxer from Ukraine, but residing in Germany, received strategy tips from Haye. Frenkel will challenge Maccarinelli for the European cruiserweight title at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Saturday.

Haye knocked out Maccarinelli in two rounds in 2008. He advised to keep a "good defense" and to be cautious because the Welsh champion is "very strong and has good hand speed." He told Frenkel to "always be ready to strike with head shots when the openings are there and to avoid being a stationary target by using a lot of movement."
