Former two-division world champion David Haye has rejected any notion that super middleweight contender George Groves has a weak chin. Last Saturday night, before 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, Groves was knocked senseless in the eight round from a huge right hand from Carl Froch. The fight was waved off a moment later.
Groves was a former stablemate of Haye and the two fighters often trained together under the direction of trainer Adam Booth.
"He does not have a weak chin. He just got hit with a perfect shot, plain and simple. And with every single champion throughout the years - if you get hit perfectly you go down, and that's what makes boxing. Carl couldn't have thrown it any more perfect. It was the perfect punch," Haye said.
