WBC lightweight champion David Diaz is salivating at the chance to fight Manny Pacquiao. Diaz and super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez are the two men in the running to fight Pacquiao in a March HBO pay-per-view event.

Diaz told the Manila Bulletin that a bout with Pacquiao will be a big payday that will help him with the mounting bills at home. Diaz, who is coming off a decision win over Erik Morales, says that very little of the purse he was paid for Morales, 350K, is left.

Should Pacquiao deicide to move up to 135-pounds, he will be aiming for his third title in a third weight class.

"I am not a greedy person," Diaz said. "I think I deserve it. The bills just keep on coming. When Morales fought me, he was aiming for a third title. It’s going to be an all-out war."

Marquez has been campaigning through the media, demanding a rematch with Pacquiao and stating that he will take a cut in pay to make the fight.
