Heavyweights Dave Allen and Arslanbek Makhmudov both stepped on the scales in Sheffield this afternoon ahead of their 12-round fight tomorrow night at the Sheffield Arena.

Allen, from Doncaster, weighed 259.1 lbs for the contest, while Makhmudov, the taller fighter from Russia, recorded a weight of 261.1 lbs.

For Allen, the weight of 259.1 lbs is six pounds lighter than the weight he scaled before knocking out Johnny Fisher in the fifth round of his previous contest in May. Makhmudov, too, is lighter – by four pounds – than he was for a first-round knockout of Ricardo Brown in June.
