Middleweight gatekeeper Dashon Johnson will face Ricardo Pinell on Friday night, promoter Brian Halquist told BoxingScene.com Monday afternoon.
The 10 round bout will take place at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.
Johnson (21-20-3, 6 KOs) has fought several unbeaten fighters, prospects, and contenders with mixed results.
On March 18, Johnson gave unbeaten Jesse Hart all he could handle, even dropping the Philadelphia fighter in round 10, before losing by unanimous decision. The loss snapped a four-bout winning streak.
Johnson would win his next two bouts before losing to J'Leon Love by technical knockout in the sixth round on September 16 in Las Vegas.
The 28-year-old resides in the San Diego suburb of Escondido.
Pinell (14-2-1, 8 KOs) knocked out Roberto Yong in his last bout on July 9. He has won his last four bouts in a row.
The San Francisco resident is best known to boxing fans for losing a one-sided six round decision to John Thompson in February of 2015 in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Boxcino tournament.
Light heavyweight Richard Van Siclen (1-0, 1 KO), a 2015 University of Washington graduate and a Golden Gloves champion, will face Jacob Tampos in a four round bout. Tampos will be making his pro debut.
Junior middleweight Zachary Cooper (5-2-2, 3 KOs) squares off against Nate Serrano (4-5-2, 3 KOs) in a four round bout.
Two more bouts will round out the card.
