Last week, heavyweight Danny Williams put himself back in the win column by knocking out Scott Gammer in nine rounds to regain the British heavyweight title. Not only did Williams win, but he came to the ring in fantastic shape and put on one of the best performances on his career.

Following the win, Williams, 33-years-old, was considering retirement. A few days and a few fight offers can change the mind of any fighter. In a recent interview with Ant Evans of Eurosport, Williams stated that he is not going to retire, and has instead opted to target the top heavyweights and fight on.

"I have had so much positive feedback from people who said I showed glimpses of world class," said Williams. My main goal is to get back to the top. I believe I can still compete with champions like (WBC king) Oleg Maskaev. I won the British Title again after coming off two loses against Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton and so I think I can do better next time coming off a decent performance."
