Junior featherweight Danny Roman has put together a solid winning streak as of late. Earning a world ranking has been a new accomplishment Roman also hopes to build on.

Roman (16-2-1, 5 KOs) won the NABA junior featherweight title in his last bout on July 24, defeating Daniel Noriega over 10 mostly one-sided rounds.

The 25-year-old Roman won his last eight bouts in a row, mostly against modest opposition that includes Christopher Martin and Jonathan Arrellano.

Roman will be defending the NABA title for the first time against Ruiz, who is trained by Robert Garcia.

Ruiz (14-3, 6 KOs) defeated Fernando Fuentes by split decision in his last bout on August 21 in nearby Corona. The victory snapped a two-bout losing streak.

In an eight round bout, unbeaten junior welterweight Giovani Santillan will fight Ernesto Ortiz of Mexico.

In his last bout on February 20, Santillan (16-0, 9 KOs) stopped Eduardo Rivera in the first round. The southpaw Santillan resides in San Diego.

Ortiz (10-2, 7 KOs) has lost two of his last three bouts after winning his first 10 bouts. His fight against Santillan will be the first of 2015.

Featherweights Juan Reyes (12-2-3, 2 KOs) and Jose Haro (10-1-1, 6 KOs) will square off in an eight round bout.
