IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green plans to continue his career. Green's career was in doubt after going through emergency abdominal surgery in January to remove his appendix and a large abscess. He last fought in November with a twelve round decision over BJ Flores. He recently tested himself with a six-round sparring session against heavyweight Pieter Cronje. His performance convinced him to continue his career.
“Unless something radical happens, I’m back,” Green told AFP. [Cronje] is a big, strong guy and he took it to me and I was actually surprised with some of the shots I was landing on Pete. A couple of shots hurt [me]. They didn’t look like they were much. They weren’t really big shots but a couple of them stung where the scars are.”
