IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green will defend his title against former WBA super middleweight champion Manny Siaca on April 25 in Sydney, Australia. Siaca beat Green's rival Anthony Mundine for to get a title in 2004. Mikkel Kessler stopped Siaca to win the title a few months later. Siaca has been inactive and averaging less than one fight per year. The fight being set is part of the marketing by Green to further bait Mundine to a rematch.

In other news, heavyweight John Hopoate has reconsidered his offer to face Shane Cameron in Melbourne on March 18. The fight was canceled a few days ago when Hopoate refused to sign a contract. A replacement was brought in. The fight is back on with Hopoate showing a chance of heart.

Cameron's manager, Ken Reinsfield, told the AFP - "I've just had a call from the Australian promoters saying Hoppa wants the fight and it's back on. I don't know whether it's because I questioned his heart in the weekend papers, or he has been playing mind games, and frankly I don't care."
