At Challenge Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green (30-3, 27KOs) destroyed Paul Briggs (26-4) in the first round. Briggs, even with the added weight, was too far gone after a three year layoff. Green didn't even appear to hit him flush. Objects were thrown in the ring from unhappy fans that were upset with the performance of Briggs. The official time announced was 29-seconds of the first round. Briggs was bombed with flying objects of all kind as he tried to get back to the dressing room with police security.
Heavyweight Shane Cameron, now fighting down near cruiserweight limit, picked up his record to 25-2 after winning a ten round unanimous decision over Daniel Amman (19-4). Cameron is hoping to fight Danny Green for the IBO cruiserweight title.
Super featherweight prospect Matt Garlett (4-1, 3KOs) stopped previously undefeated Luke Norton (2-1, 0KOs) in two rounds of action. Norton was caught cold with a right hook in the second round and then a follow-up flurry forced the TKO win.
Heavyweight prospect Mostyn Niemann (2-0, 1KOs) won a four round decision over Shane Tilyard (2-4).
Brad "Hollywood" Pitt (5-0, 4KOs) stopped Oscar Siale (12-6, 4KOs) in the third round of a cruiserweight bout. After two dominating rounds, Pitt battered and dropped Siale in the corner to get the TKO in the third.
In a six round featherweight bout, Willie Kickett (17-2, 5KOs) won a war of a fight with Filipino Jack Asis (21-15, 10KOs). Kickett picked up a six round unanimous decision.
