Puerto Rico's Danielito “El Zorro” Zorrilla is motivated to become the next boxer from his country to capture a world title.

This past weekend, compatriot Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo made his history when he captured the World Boxing Organization 105-pound championship in only his seventh fight.

Zorrilla is massive underdog in the upcoming clash with WBC junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis (28-1, 24 KO's).

Their fight takes place on June 17 in the champion's backyard of New Orleans, Louisiana.

“I went to social media to [see what people are saying], and they don't really have me in mind. I don't think anyone sees me winning [against Prograis] This motivates me. I like it because I see it as a challenge. People mention Manny Rodriguez as the fifth [boxer who will become a champion in Puerto Rico], and he's going to be the sixth. Nobody takes me into consideration, but I count on myself and that night I will show a lot and I will be the fifth world champion of Puerto Rico," Zorrilla declared to Sara Hernandez.

“The people counting me out will make the surprise even bigger. I use this as motivation."

The opportunity came about when Prograis' original opponent, Liam Paro, withdrew with a training injury.

Zorrilla acknowledged that his fight with Prograis will be a very tough fight - and even tougher with the bout taking place in Prograis' hometown.

"The fight will be at his house, with his promoter, with his judges... but that will not distract me. I am going to take that crown from Prograis," Zorrilla said.

Zorrilla has been training for about two weeks in the city of Springfield, Massachusetts, with Hector Bermudez.

“I am ready for anyone. I am not afraid of challenges. That's why we're here. Also, the career of boxers is short, so you can't miss opportunities," Zorrilla said.

“My fighting style was very novice. Just throwing punches and boxing is more than that, it is knowing how to move, knowing when to grab and when not to, knowing how much to come forward and when to go back. It's not just throwing punches."
