Daniel Santos achieved his dream of becoming a three-time champion last Friday when he knocked out unbeaten Joachim Alcine to capture the WBA junior middleweight title in Alcine's backyard of Montreal.

Santos says the next step of his career at age 32 is to put himself in line for a multi-million dollar payday by targeting the other champions at the weight. He wants to unify the titles and has called out Sergio Mora (WBC), Verno Phillips (IBF) and Sergeii Dzinziruk, who won his WBO title by outpointing Santos in 2005.

Last Friday's win was bigger for Santos than most many people knew. He's averaged one fight per year since 2005 and supports his family with that money, which Santos says is gone.

"I want to unify the titles and I'll fight the first one who offers me the most money. I want to get to the point where I'm making millions per fight and I haven't gotten there yet," Santos told El Nuevo Dia.

"I went three years without being a world champion. I've fought two times in the last two years. This is what I've lived on, the savings are finished. I had a serious, violent preparation for this fight and sacrificed a lot.  I want to take some time off to be with my family."
