Cartel boss Daniel Kinahan has been arrested in Dubai as part of an international operation targeting serious organised crime.
Kinahan, 48, was detained on foot of an arrest warrant issued by the Irish courts in connection with alleged serious organised crime offences.
The arrest, according to a statement issued by the Dubai Police, took place on 15 April after specialised teams launched intensive search and surveillance operations. This resulted in Kinahan’s arrest within just 48 hours of a warrant being issued by Dubai Public Prosecution.
