New York - On Saturday night at the Nassau Coliseum, middleweight contender Daniel Jacobs (33-2, 29 KOs) made his return to the ring and won a dominating twelve round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Luis Arias.

Jacobs controlled the fight from start to finish and it was hard to give Arias many of the rounds.

Now Jacobs is setting his sights on a world title opportunity in the coming months.

On December 16th, WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (25-0, 12 KOs) will defend his world title against former IBF beltholder David Lemieux (38-3, 33 KOs).

Saunders vs. Lemieux takes place at Place Bell in Laval, Canada. HBO will televise the fight.

Jacobs is targeting the winner of that contest.

In the opinion of Jacobs, both Saunders and Lemieux are not in his class - and they are also not in the class of top middleweight fighters like Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

"No [they are not in our class], absolutely not. I think they are maybe B... B-level type of guys. No disrespect to them because they are dangerous at what they're dangerous at. BJ Saunders is a great boxer and Lemieux is a great puncher, but those guys to me are very limited," Jacobs said to BoxingScene.com.

"I think I have more attributes, between my power and between my skills, and the variation of different things that I can do inside the ring. I think that I'm a little notch above those guys."

Jacobs will travel to Canada next month to sit ringside at the event. He plans to challenge the winner in the aftermath.

"I'm demanding every fight, but obviously that's the one that makes the most sense. They are fighting right now. And when we go up there to Montreal, we are going to call out who the winner is," Jacobs said.

"When I called out David Lemieux and BJ Saunders [in the past], they said 'not right now, we have future plans.' Ok, go handle your business but know that I'm next. And if you avoid me now, then I know you're just scared."
