Daniel Garcia has been brief in each of his two appearances at this venue.

Two months after a second-round knockout victory, the 21-year-old Denver native stopped Cancun’s Luis May (22-17-1, 8KOs) early in the first round of their junior lightweight contest. A double left hook to the body put May down on the canvas, at which point the fight was stopped at 1:13 of round one in their DAZN preliminary Thursday evening from Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

Gael Cabrera was brief in his pro debut.

The 18-year-old from Sonora, Mexico twice floored Ulises Rosales (0-7, 0KOs) en route to a first-round knockout in their featherweight contest. Cabrera went to the body to produce both knockdowns, the latter which brought an immediate halt to the contest at 1:29 of round one.

The DAZN opener saw Patricio Manuel earn his second win of 2023 with a four-round shutout versus Alex Gutierrez (0-2, 0KOs). All three judges scored the contest 40-36, though each round was individually competitive. Manuel was forced to overcome a cut outside his left eye from a clash of heads in round four to preserve the victory.

Manuel (3-0, 0KOs) was a five-time female amateur champion before transitioning in 2012. He resurfaced more than six years in an historic pro debut when he outpointed Hugo Aguilar on a December 2018 Golden Boy show at this very location. He ended a four-year ring absence with a four-round technical decision win on the undercard of a March 18 DAZN show from Long Beach, California.

Headlining the show, locally based bantamweight, Manuel ‘Gucci Manny’ Flores (15-0, 11KOs) enters his first main event and scheduled ten-rounder as he faces Phoenix’s Walter Santibanes (11-2, 2KOs).
