It was reported by Reuters that Japanese bad boy Daiki Kameda, 18, was issued a one-year ban from boxing on Monday, a penalty stemming from his flagrant fouls during his unanimous decision loss to WBC flyweight champion Daisuke Naito.
Daiki lost three points after going nuts in the twelfth and final round, punching Naito as they wrestled on the canvas and then lost two more for picking Naito up and slamming him back down to the mat.
Kameda's father and trainer Shiro had his licence suspended for verbally abusing the referee during his son's loss. And the head of Kameda's Kyoei gym was stripped of his owner's licence for three months by the Japan Boxing Commission's (JBC) ethics panel.
Koki Kameda, the undefeated older brother and former light flyweight champion, got off with a warning after microphones caught him telling his younger brother to elbow Naito in the eye.
