BoxingScene.com recently caught up with undefeated super featherweight Diego Magdaleno (22-0 8 KOs) who faces veteran Antonio Davis (29-7 13 KOs) on August 4th at the Texas Station Casino in North Las Vegas, NV.
The Las Vegas resident last fought in March when he stopped Fernando Beltran in 7 rounds. Magdaleno expects to put on another great performance against Davis in a fight that will be televised by Telefutura.
"This is my year and it is time to shine. I am always working hard in the gym and I always come into the ring in shape. This is going to be a big year for me but I take it one fight at a time and Davis is next," Magdaleno told Boxingscene.com.
Magdaleno said that his approach is to always take it one fight at a time and to not look too far ahead but hopes to get one step closer to a title fight.
"I have to get through this fight before I go to the next fight. I take it one at a time but I hope that I can get a shot at a title after this fight," Magdaleno stated before offering a prediciton on his fight against Davis. "One thing I will say is that the fight
won't go the distance."
