BoxingScene.com was on hand yesterday at The Forum for the weigh in for tonight's battle between three-division world champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and WBC super flyweight champion Carlos "El Principe" Cuadras.
Several fans were in attendance with most of them being Nicaraguan supporting Chocolatito. Cuadras also had a boisterous Mexican contingent chanting "Principe! Principe!" which means prince in Spanish. Those chants only incited the Nicaraguan fans who started their own chant mocking Cuadras by saying "Princesa! Princesa!" which means princess in Spanish.
Cuadras took the trash talk in stride and said that Gonzalez's fans will eat their words tonight when he shocks the world.
"That's what the Nicaraguans are calling me but their Chocolatito is getting knocked out on Saturday and then we will see if they will still call me Princesa. Hopefully we knock him out and I am confident we will," said Cuadras.
