The latest Savarese Boxing Promotions card will feature five boxing matches and two MMA bouts at the Bayou City Events Center on Sept. 21. Promoting fights in Houston since 2009, former heavyweight contender turned promoter Lou Savarese, 47, began including MMA bouts on his show when he himself made a successful MMA debut in June.
In boxing:
Pablo Cruz (4-0, 2 KOs) faces Jermichael Neal (0-0-1) in a featherweight bout.
Super bantamweight Marc Torres (4-0, 2 KOs) takes on Joe Anthony Narrro (0-5).
Lightweight Trevell Mazion (3-0, 3 KOs), trained by Anne Wolf, battles Aaron Anderson (2-24, 1 KO).
Lightweight Omar Tello (2-0, 2 KOs) takes on Theodore Walters (0-2).
And heavyweight Roberto Silva Jr. (1-0, 1 KO) faces Anthony Robie (0-1).
In MMA:
Kaleb Cummings (2-0, 1 KO) squares off against Darius Shorter (debut) at 185 pounds.
And Eric Valdez (1-1) takes on Joshua Coronado (debut) at 145 pounds.
