The Russia-based Cuban Lenar Perez and Russia’s former WBA cruiserweight title challenger Aleksei Egorov will fight on April 27 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Egorov, 12-2 (8KOs), lost to Brandon Glanton in his past fight. He is still ranked 11th by the WBA. Perez, 14-0 (14KOs), can be found at six.

Their fight and is being overseen by Russian Iron & Gloves and Patriot Boxing, with the support of the very well funded IBA, under their “IBA Pro” banner.

Perez, 27 years old, has an impressive record but has been tested only at a lower level than the 33-year-old Egorov, who has been in with much tougher opponents – including when losing to the then-WBA champion Arsen Goulamirian in 2022.
