Scotland’s Nathaniel Collins and Cristobal Lorente of Spain will again contest the European featherweight title after agreeing a rematch at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on April 17.

They fought to an entertaining draw in October when, in what also represented a final eliminator for the WBC title, they were both awarded scores of 115-113, in addition to one score of 114-114.

Their main event will be complemented by the middleweight contest between Aston Brown and former English and Commonwealth junior-middleweight champion Sam Gilley, the vacant British and Commonwealth featherweight title fight between Royston Barney-Smith and Conor McIntosh, and the British junior-featherweight title fight between Dylan Arbuckle and Nico Leivars.

“The first fight was a cracker, so there was absolutely no hesitation in making the rematch,” said Queensberry Promotions’ Frank Warren of Llorente-Collins II. “It was an unsatisfactory finish for the two fighters, but everyone watching was treated to a tremendous contest.

“It was close and compelling, and I wouldn’t expect the second fight to be much different – although I’m sure Nathaniel will disagree with that.

“I’m also really looking forward to seeing Aston Brown take a big step up against a proven campaigner in Sam Gilley, while the two British title fights will bring plenty of drama of their own.

“It will be a great thrill to return to Glasgow. We are building something very special there with our talented Scottish fighters, who will once again be showcasing their skills on this card.”
